I will say the most cynically amusing aspect to the whole "they need to stop resisting" argument is that it can come from people who are gleefully resisting government mandates to wear masks.  Ida know, maybe if we see "White man killed by police for not wearing a mask in Krogers" the message will get through.

If you resist the police can and will kill you.  Now if you'll excuse me, I need to resist what I deem to be an unjust mandate.
