I don't think anyone is attacking you here. But your point about missing sarcasm is a valid one. We, generally, use the
at the end of a statement that was intended to be sarcastic or tongue in cheek because of this. Without body language and tone of voice it's very easy to miss attempted sarcasm via text only.
