I didn't mean to say that gang violence wasn't an issue as well; the first thing that popped in my head happened to be the shootings at the clubs.
It's not just suicides; it's also accidental discharges that tag someone or misfires that cause bodily harm. Either way, I agree that lumping that kind of thing in with gang violence or extremist violence is disgusting.
