The short of it is:
republicans love america, democrats are too busy trying to save the rest of the world at our expense
the evil countries laugh at democrats but are scared of and/or respect republicans
god is owned by the right wing
patriotism is owned by the right wing
a giant military can still count as small government
welfare is a big issue and republicans will make sure everyone who can work will work
republicans give a crap about abortion beyond election talking-points
That's how I see it, and it's too damn effective to be true in my mind. Reality is never as appealing as misdirection.
The reality seems to be in the middle of a lot of that.
If you came out with those dumbed down talking points as a candidate I would be like huh.
