In my opinion, choosing Jenner over Hill, goes completely against the spirit of the award.  Jenner's sex change is more of a social commentary, than anything to do with sports. 

It doesn't always go to a current athlete. It has gone to coaches, broadcasters, officials, and even people who aren't related to sports.
