Of all the things to defend this clown on....   This isn't one of them.   He was an actual hardcore racist.    What he says a decade later is irrelevant since he is only trying to fix his legacy after the fact.

Not defending or denying what he wrote.

But saying the film was written by and / or based on his writing is more than a stretch.
