Unfortunately the protest wasn't peaceful and patriotic as they stormed in, damaged property, and injured people. 

Edit* apparently people also died so that's about as far from peaceful as possible.

Well I'm inferring what he'd be willing to do based on what he said he'd do. A president putting him self in danger is a bad idea but once again, he said he'd run into an active school shooter scenario unarmed.
