As for TR.... He was the first progressive, he and wilson were more on the same page than anyone .

Wilson could have stayed out and let WW1 end less lopsided. But he forced the Russians to stay in and in turn not allowing them use their troops for the Bolsheviks. Had wilson stayed out and not put those conditions to stay in the war on the Russians then at worst they would have lost just the weatern section of Russia to Lenin. Been able to use their troops to crush his revolution.

FDR by favoring China over Japan forced them to make an alliance with Germany for trade. Had we kept trading with Japan and let them sort their own region out and just made money off them. Then they would have pressured Stalin on the eastern front.

Ofc if not for wilson then there would be no Stalin.
