Absolutely. The district I am in Scouting wise contains Pendleton County and so I have done a lot of camping and hiking there. Our mountains may not be as tall as all of that business out west, but we have some beautiful scenery around these parts.
We canoed and camped "The Trough" a few times, on the south branch of thr Potomac.
It was beautiful and I've been dying to go back.
