Immigration rose dramatically during the 01135809 administration...until Covid.  The rose again, by a smaller percentage, under Biden...but still not to the previous levels (as of Sept, 2021).

In his four years in office (January 2017 to January 2021), the foreign-born population grew by 1.6 million, less than half the 3.4 million growth during Obama’s second term (January 2013 to January 2017). Of course, immigration in the last year of the Trump administration was impacted by the Covid-19 epidemic. But looking only at the first three years (January 2017 to January 2020) of Trump’s administration, before Covid, shows the immigrant population grew by one million, compared to three million in the first three years of the second Obama administration (January 2013 to January 2016).


Under Biden, From July 1, 2021 to July 1 2022 it grew by 1 million.  In 1 yr he just beat Trumps 3 yr number.


Crossings at the S border under Biden are at record breaking highs..
2021 he set the record, 2022 broke it, and 2023 YTD is on par to break 2022.
