Anyway, the Steelers have been inconsistent, have their worst defense in years, just had their back up turned starting RB get injured in the last game of the season, the Bengals are getting a bunch of defensive players back from injury.  The Bengals are playing at home after a 12 win season.  The Steelers need the Jets to lose jsut to get in to the playoffs.

Yep. No reason for the Steelers to NOT be a favorite.   Mellow

I'm assuming you are smart enough to know how Vegas Sportsbooks operate, correct? As someone who visits vegas too often, I am all too familiar. Vegas doesn't choose the spread based on what they think the outcome of the game will be. Vegas spreads are based on the prediction of BETTING (hint: that's how they make money). Given that Pittsburgh has a widespread fan base, you can imagine that more Steelers fans will be betting than bengals fans...And...the widespread national view of the Bengals as playoff pushovers probably doesn't help. So yes, anyone with a brain would assume the Steelers would start as a favorite. Doesn't mean they will end there.

Go to statistician sites if you want an objective look at the predicted results...
