As to your second point, I tend to agree that more voters, particularly Gen Z voters, are more concerned about their personal safety, freedom and financial well being than other voter blocs that might be more focused on the social and ethical issues. (At least that is the vibe I get from my daugter and son in law)

I was listening to a Clark Howard short the other day on WHIO and he said that for every dollar parents save towards retirement, they spend another $2 to help their children with their finances. I thought that was a pretty shocking claim. And of course, I don't think he shared where that information came from. So it seems, our younger adults are having a tough time making it. I doubt that matters much in terms of who they'll vote for, because many are comfortable taking funds from mommy and daddy. Well, until they're dead that is.
