But that's not the same thing. I would venture to say most celebs/musicians have skeletons in their closet. Many of us do as well.
What if he was playing Tchaikovsky who supposedly was gay? It would be ridiculous to claim playing Tchaikovsky would be forcing you to embrace homosexuality.
