To go any further and require proof as in a picture id, is an unenforceable burden that won't stand up to legal challenge. The other issue is who would want them to have your personal information to be used in a cyber blackmail scandal like ashley madison?

Sure there is porn addiction, there is also video game addiction. Do we need to restrict access to video games too through legislation.

Good point. Do you talk to them about the dangers of porn in the same manor? If not, why not if it is as destructive?

Honestly, I am not opposed to the .xxx domain name. It will do little to no good however in deterring teen use. If it makes Fred, and other like Fred happy go for it.

Good point about the video games. They have been blamed for moral decay. Killing someone a million times in a video could make it easy to kill someone in real life. The same way they are blaming porn for dehumanizing you could argue video games running around and killing and beating people for dehumanizing.

I've heard many times video game addiction killing someone. More so in south Korea than here, when they go on binges and don't eat or drink for days and just die at the computer. Not so many examples of porn addiction killing someone.

The internet is risky business. One of the reasons I'm glad I don't have kids. I would have to be the strict dad and they would get to use the computer for homework and about an hour a day for leisure. Other than that they are getting put up. And no cell phones til high school.
