I'd like to think if my spouse was lying there dying and I was trained in lifesaving measures, then I would inform the officer of what I am doing and take my chances. Once again I have no idea of this lady's training or place any blame on her.
I probably would do the same, unless my kid was in the car. Then my first thought would be to get the moron with the gun to stop shooting.
