The local story refers to her first as "Melodie" and then as "Memorie" a number of times. 

I tend to not consider a lot of school stories as accurate. You only get one side. Schools can't always give much detail.

She has an IEP. School definitely won't be saying much to the media.

Depending on the content of the IEP, they may really get taken to task for not accommodating her.
