Columbus officer fatally shot young teen 'who drew BB gun'

The jist of what is alledged to have happened is that someone called in and said he was approached by 3 black males, one of whom was armed, and demanded money from him. When police arrived, they saw 3 young black men that fit the caller's description about a block away. When they approached them, two started to run, and when they caught up to them, one pulled a gun from his waistband. That prompted the one officer to draw his gun and shoot him. He was just 13 years old, and died a short time later.

It was discovered shortly afterwards it was actually a BB gun without a red/orange tip as it was removed. And it had a red laser attached to it. The picture of the gun is below per the CNN page link above.
