As far as him being a racist Bigot.... Not sure who else uses those terms but racists. All I said was that he was anti civil rights for almost his whole life. Every president has their good, bad and ugly. These are just more of his ugly. We shouldnt be in fantasy land thinking that any preaident didnt do bad things.
I apologize I did go back and edited this post that you quoted to clarify. It was more to the fact that he recognized his own racism as being "wrong minded" so to speak. I think to put it more succinctly he wanted to be on the right side of history despite his personal views. I do agree with you though that every president their "good, bad and ugly". Try not to dismiss it out of hand because of the source, the article lays into LBJ pretty hard, I was surprised.
