So WAS this a repudiation of "politics as usual"?

Repudiation?  No. Business as usual?  Yes. Exit polls indicate 89% of Democrats voted Democrat and 90% of Republicans voted Republican. 

This election was about motivating angry voter turn out. There isn't anything new about that, either.
