Let me step back and say that I was pleasantly surprised by how well Burkhead performed over the last 6 games.  He had 426 yards from scrimmage and averaged 4.5 yards per carry.  I would rather re-sign him than use a late round pick on another RB.

All I am talking about is the hype he will get over this offseason.  He did nothing before this year, but he already had a little fan club here who claimed he "made plays every time he got a chance".  They are going to go crazy over the next few months if it does not look like the Bengals are going to make him a starter.
