ok alright, that's technically a point. 
Leading the birther movement still showed so much lack of respect and decency (I can't really see how you could see that one differently) it's hard to expect the full respect and decency package in return now. No matter if he was a private citizen at one time and an elected official at the other time. Still the same man.

Not that I oppose what you say, I just say it shifts things, that's it.
