I hope everyone that made public his or her intention to boycott the inauguration reads this and sees how petty they truly are.

The reasoning may make them "petty, but I have no problem with boycotts or protests per se.

While the inauguration itself is important the rest is just a dog and pony show costing millions of dollars.

And even without the people boycotting I'm not sure that many people went anyway.
