It seems your recall is selective and if it were complete you would understand the dynamic that you are missing. Being as no one else wanted to help you out when I asked earlier; I'll light the candle.

The difference is where they occur. The left conducts violent acts at venues they oppose and are "breaking in" as Dill would put it. The right conducts violent activities at functions they are invited to and an uninvited guest breaks in. 

Sort of like if you come into my house uninvited stirring up trouble and I whip your ass, I very well may be within my rights. Conversely, if I come into your house uninvited (read Breaking In), stir up trouble, and whip your ass and destroy your ptoperty. I am not within my rights.
