The left has its extremists as well..you won't find me arguing against that. I think it's probably much less organized, and may have less political influence, but it's there.

The alt-right is a very well organized political movement that is heavily influencing the ideas of a lot of younger conservatives (even if the movement isn't representative of actual conservative values). I'm not going to point at them and say that they're representative of all republicans but they most definitely think they are. This is right wing extremism, no doubt.
