Teacher punished for using the T word

When I start hearing old white dudes refer to young white criminals as "thugs", I'll stop thinking it's a word reserved for darker skinned people.

I know that it's technically not a bad word in any way, but lately it seems that it's just code word for people who really want to say "******" but are afraid of the consequences.
