It basically took drafting 2 HOF players and 2 other Pro Bowl players in back to back drafts to make this team become above average.

And once all those players signed their second contracts the depth has slowly been depleted as the FO has made too many suspect decisions. 

Zeitler + Brandon Thompson instead of DeCastro and Bernard instead of Bell also impacted the trajectory of both teams.
