There could be a position coach out there somewhere that doesn't have talented players at his position that coaches his guys up and has a lot of the traits needed to be a great HC.

Heck Cowher was a special teams coach.

I think Cooter for the Lions is interesting. The Lions are about as poorly managed as the Bengals and he generally gets god results there.
