The idea of the tariffs is stupid. First, the majority of steel used in the US is US steel. Second, the vast majority of aluminum we import if from Canada. The whole whole idea that this is based on national security is bogus from the onset. This shouldn't surprise anyone, though, because the one ideological stance Trump actually has is anti-free trade protectionism. It's been his way for decades.
