Trump continues to back aluminum and steel tariffs despite Republican fears

Century — which shut down aluminium production in KY a couple years ago — is ready to invest $100 million of its own dollars into  old plants as soon as tariffs are implemented. These are the same plants that when they shut down spiked electricity bills by 20% (or more) because the electric co-op had to spread out the loss somewhere.

China floods the market with cheap steal and aluminum by having the government pay for it. American companies buy whatever is the cheapest. Tariffs level that.

If nothing else, you know its the right move when Republicans and Democrats unite in opposition.

I hope that $100k offsets the increased costs for other businesses and the jobless.
