Alex Van Pelt Factor

Think about this, Ken Zampese was the QB coach of the Bengals from 2003-2015. We often talk about how Paul Alexander had a free ride here, well it's the same with Zamp. I would say we had a less than mediocre QB coach ALL of these years. I never noticed much growth from the QB position with either Palmer or Dalton, other than when the offensive coordinator/system changed.

Finally, we get a new QB coach and not some bum off the street. We get a guy who has been in the ear of arguably the best performing QB in the league from 2014-2017 Now, Rodgers was plenty good before Van Pelt got there, don't get me wrong, but working with a guy like Rodgers raises your standards. I think Van Pelt is coming in here and preaching the right mechanics/mindset to take Andy to that next level.

I'm not sure we even had a QB coach last year after Zamp left. I'm excited about having someone Andy can lean on for help, as when you think about it, he never has really had anyone other than Hue and Jay, who were also controlling the entire offense.

Having a knowledgeable coach dedicated to keeping Andy on track is going to do wonders for this team.

Definately showing isn't it?

Van Pelt has also helped some QB's that were just not very good to having their best seasons as pros. Josh Freeman
and another QB who i can never remember, but i mean he has not just worked with Rodgers. These new coaches were
some great additions and it is really showing out there especially with Dalton and the Receivers.

Bicknell needs to be mentioned here who has done wonders with the Receivers it seems. Ross, Boyd, Tate, Erickson
all have been having a great camp and Core scored 2 TD's today.
