I imagine how she would have stood there, talking about men disrespecting women, using them for sex, betraying their spouse, and how this behaviour is condemnable and not acceptable for a man she or anyone should hold in high regard. She had a hand in trying to get Universal Health Care ( in some form) introduced during Clinton's time in office...it's part of the reason the right hates her so much. She didn't just take up a nice quiet social role like past first ladies and they think she's an evil socialist.
Of course they also think she and her husband have people killed on a regular basis, so take it all with a grain of salt.
I think the tradition is okay. It's not like it's policy.
