Personally, any of the offices I've managed have had a strict "no running for office" policy. It sends a bad image and presents likely conflicts of interest for a news agency to have an elected official working there (even in this case of volunteering there). But also there are optics that just look bad while she is still in office.  Isn't this the same lady that got money from Trump's foundation (since shuttered due to the way it was ran) and dropped a case against him?

I mean she's obviously shady:  She's in politics in Florida.  But this looks bad even for the typical Trump apologist whether it broke ethic rules or not.  And they never said if it did or not.
