Perfect example of how the Trump supporters mind works.
When Lanny Davis says anything to hurt Trump he is a habitual liar. When Davis says something that helps Trump then he must be believed 100% honest.
Davis actually said what CNN said he said. There is no "fake news" here. In fact Davis has a very strong motive to lie now because if he didn't he would open up his client to Perjury charges.
When a court tries to decide when a person who has changed his story is lying they often look to which statement is most "self serving". In this case Davis was pretty much forced to change his story to save his clients ass. On the other hand he had zero to gain when he first made his comments to CNN a couple of months ago. Based on that I would believe his prior story over his most recent.
