He did say exactly what they reported he said.
When he changed his story they put him on the air to give his new version.
They have been completely honest about reporting what he said.
If they had to prove that everything Donald Trump said was true they would never be able to publish any remark by him, but that is not fair to the public. They deserve to know what the President is saying even if they don't know for sure if he is telling the truth.
