Try to respond to an argument with something other than a dodge and see what happens. Start with my point, restated here, that Trump's border shutdown may be illegal/unconstitutional. Explain how massaging existing law to produce conflict and crisis supports "siding with those who protect laws" as opposed to refugee families with children.

No. But introducing a Red Herring and then arguing that is. Nowhere did I say shutting down the border completely was the best choice, you just assigned that stance to me so you could argue against it.
