One can be sure Kavanaugh will be a conservative judge, but now that he is on the bench and Trump can't recall him, there is a chance that he won't want his legacy to be "Trump Stooge."  He could pull a Sessions; turn independent (disloyal in Trump's view).   Kind of like the Steelers going into a trap game. Don't want to make any loud bets.
