I don't remember and bible lesson where the governemnt takes care of anyone.   I do however remember the lessons where we are told to get out help the needy in our community as individuals and church groups.   Part of getting out oursleves is to expierence the lives of those we are helping.   To show them Gods love in a personal way.

Yet he doesn't mention the Christians in the Middle East who are being slaughtered, who can not flee to the UN camps out of fear for their lives.   So they are not included in any of these refugee groups.    These people are facing the same path as the jews in Germany did pre ww2.   Yet he doesn't mention them.  

- speaks about protecting life at all stages then is silent on abortion, despite it being a massive debate in america today.   Instead only mentions the death penalty.  

So I guess the pope is ok with 3m dead babies.   That's not any lessons I have ever been taught.  

Maybe he should take some notes from Mother Theresa.
