Perhaps she does want to. But, should an 11 year old child be making that decision? In my opinion, no. Should other people outside of her family be making that decision for them? Again in my opinion, no.
I think in this situation, the decision on what to do should be left to the family without outside influence from me, you, or others based upon our beliefs.
