Christianity has become a tool of convenience for a lot of folks in the US.

The foundation (the OT) is basically Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham, Lot, Jacob, Joseph, Moses and everyone else fleeing oppression, their own stupidity, natural disasters and war. They end taking refuge in lands that take them in and in the NT they're encouraged to spread the word because the lands are blessed.

In America, since the lands are blessed, we're supposed to make sure no one else enjoys that blessing, even if we have to kill their kids.

Modern Christians are doing their best to act unChristian.
