I feel like this concept is pretty universally understood as being the argument behind these plans, even if someone disagrees with it.

It's universally understood by those who would benefit from it. I have great health care and I'm happy with the premium I pay. So I cannot get behind the universal understanding of raising my taxes to benefit me.
