Trump wants to start charging stores to accept food stamps

The real left is not interested in disincentivizing people from accepting food stamps, a system that affects poor and underemployed people, one of the left's constituencies.

With that said, only the caricature of the right would support this as well (the caricature being rich people having endless "Eyes Wide Shut" parties while laughing at the poor class that they created).

The real right is for the working class, which this bill would hurt as well, especially small business owners who would either lose business for not accepting food stamps any more, turning away possible regular customers, or taking on an extra tax for no real reason.

Most likely why members from both sides of the aisle don't like it.

Hell, it even looks like members of this forum from both sides of the aisle agree it's stupid. I would look for ways that would encourage users of SNAP to go to Mom and Pops
