I don't think so, as long as he admits to it in the court documents. He'll have to sign some kind of payout agreement. Outside of that, he can verbally profess innocence all he wants.

At least, that's my assumption. Nearly every case I've covered (which is admittedly few), the person paying professed innocence when talking to the press, but still agreed to pay the amount.

At this, I'm even wondering if trump took the lower amount because he doesn't foresee the cash on hand to pay attorneys plus another $800,000.
