Reading between the lines, I think AJ Green is saying he's done being loyal to the Bengals. They've stunk for 4 straight years while doing little to fix it, and they took a pretty big dump on his boy Andy. I think he wants a big contract to stay, or he's more than happy moving on to another team if the pay is less than what he wants.
On our end, the smart move would be to move on and invest in the lines (both offense and defense). The money we'd save on AJ Green, Dalton and Glenn would (should) be instrumental in revamping this team around Joe Burrow. You're talking around $40 million right there.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
