I am somewhat familiar with Maryland.  I was stationed at the Pentagon when I was in the USAF.  I also worked in Rockville on a 6 month contract.

I grew up in Laurel which is where NSA is just outside of and very close to Ft. Meade. You'd be surprised to see how much the area has changed since then.
