Well correct probably like 99% of the time just because one part of your theory involves Trump complaining about fraud. Which is hilarious. 

He has been calling the election rigged his entire political career. And definitely ramped up that rhetoric in the months leading up to the election. He knew he was going to lose. Hell he came in second place the first time. Two in a row he lost. 

Sure would have been nice for Republicans to support election security. So half of America would feel better about our election system right now. But nope. They didn't even want to consider it because they didn't want to hurt the guys feelings who was crying it was rigged all along. 

I think it is because they wanted to keep the election as muddy as possible.

The more ambiguous the results, the more contestable.
