But let’s put the treason aside as that wasn’t my main point. Let’s just say he caused an insurrection. Is that going to be pursued?
Should be, could be, but they are instead choosing to go the route laid out in the constitution for handling offences that occurred while President via impeachment. I think if they tried to criminally charge him it would end up back in the Supreme Court as he would argue he is protected from such prosecution for things that occurred while President.
