Are you watching Trump's lawyer Castor?  They are voting to allow witnesses to be called, given the Beutler's revelations.

He is making an very EMOTIONAL argument that NOTHING that occurred before Trump's "words" and NOTHING that occurred afterwards--including Beutler's testimony, has anything to do with the incitement charge. The defense didn't do it's due dilligence.

He is still basically arguing the free speech case, ignoring the dereliction of duty which speaks to the President's oath of office. 

At one point, a chuckle ran through the chamber as he proposed deposing Harris and Pelosi in his Philadelphia office.
