That is part of it, but mainly the fact that Ross has had much better production on the field in both college and the NFL.
In college Ross had more yards and tds in just his last season than tate had in his entire career. In the NFL Ross has only played 5 more games than Tate but has ten times as many tds. Last year Ross had more yards per game, receptions per game, tds per game, and yards per reception.
