Why is this offense so bad?

Great Article. This touches exactly on the issue being Taylor. The offense has 2 issues. First they are predictable with an 80% run rate under center, a highs rate of Oz runs and few motions or shifts to disguise this. Along with getting beat upfront they aren't doing anything to confuse or outgap the defense. Secondly they are predictable in their pass game and do nothing to aid receivers. This offense is playing exactly at the sum of its parts. Any success we have seen is  just due to talent, not scheme. It is obvious they need serious help on the offensive side of the ball and with a  proper gameplan could be scary.
