As to the 1st sentence: given this board is new but that could be the most ignorant sentence typed since its inception. No QB has a winning tradition in the NFL if they have not yet been given a chance. Bucs should most likely sit Winston because he doesn't have a winning tradition in the NFL; even though he is a proven winner.
If you don't want to think McCarron can push Dalton; that's on you; but according to the OP it appears the Bengals are interested to see if he can.
Slight difference - The unproven McCarron is backing up a four year veteran with 40 wins as a starting QB. Winston is unproven and is backing up who???? Winston was also the first pick in the draft while McC was a fifth round pick. I know the point you're trying to make but you can't do it with the Winston argument.
